Report to Council on MOU with UCSLD
Summary and Background
The current MOU with the Umatilla County Special Library District (UCSLD) expires on June 30, 2019. The new MOU takes effect on July 1, 2019.
The new MOU updates the description of services provided by UCSLD to libraries served.
The new MOU also lists the requirements for the agreement, including adopting new 2018 Oregon Library Association Standards for Public Libraries. Previous Oregon Library Association Standards for Public Libraries were not a required element.
Dates have been adjusted to reduce conflict with other required library reports.
UCSLD has added the signature line for the library director, insuring the person most responsible for the reported the MOU requires is aware of the agreements requirements.
The existing and proposed MOU have been reviewed by our legal and financial staff to insure continued continuity, no concerns were identified.
