TITLE:  Ordinance No. 2287- Amending Sections 33.01, 33.02, 33.03, 33.04, 33.05, 33.06 AND 33.07 and repealing Sections 33.08 and 33.09 of Chapter 33 of the Hermiston Code of Ordinances dealing with Found and Unclaimed Property.

Found Property Ordinance Update

Summary and Background

In our update to the Hermiston Code of Ordinance, sections of Chapter 33 related to dealing with found property were found to be out of date and frankly a little bit convoluted.

 

The proposed changes give a simple straightforward process for dealing with this property. It allows us to manage the quantity of items that we store. These changes also insure that we are in compliance with current law on this subject.
