TITLE:  Ordinance No. 2294- Amending Chapter 50, of the Hermiston Code of ordinances entitled “Garbage” 
Subject

Update Code of Hermiston Chapter 50 Garbage

Summary and Background

In our efforts to update all city ordinances, the following changes to Chapter 50 Garbage are recommended:

  • Rename the chapter to Solid Waste
  • Add language related to handling infectious waste
  • Update language related to Account Fees


Tie-In to Council Goals:

Following a stated desire to align the Code of Hermiston to the new City Charter.

Following are action options:

  1. Adopt Ordinance 2294 as presented.
  2. Amend and then adopt Ordinance 2294.
  3. Direct staff to make major revisions and return with an updated ordinance for review.
