Discuss priorities for the League of Oregon Cities (LOC) legislative agenda.
Summary and Background
For each Biennium, the LOC has an extensive member involvement process to select the legislative priorities that the intergovernmental staff of LOC will focus on and advocate for with the state legislature.
They have the following legislative policy committees:
- Community Development
- Energy & Environment
- Finance & Taxation
- General Government
- Human Resources
- Telecom, Broadband & Cable
- Transportation
- Water/Wastewater
Each of these committees met virtually many times through the spring months to come up with the 26 items before the council. I am a member of the Telecom, Broadband & Cable Committee as well as the Finance and Taxation Committee.
Attached you will find a detailed explanation of each proposal as well as a City of Hermiston evaluation of all the proposals and their potential impact on Hermiston.
