A review and discussion of the 1st Quarter Investment Portfolio activity for the city of Hermiston.
Summary and Background
Per the Investment Policy for the city, a report (at least quarterly) shall be made to the City Council to ascertain whether investment activities during the reporting period have conformed to the investment policy.
The following are some investment portfolio metrics as outlined in the Investment Policy as revised and re-adopted June 22, 2020
Weighted Average Maturity of the portfolio at September 30, 2020 is 2.58.
Approximately 44% of the portfolio is invested in callable bonds
The benchmark is no more than 75% maximum.

1. Accept the quarterly investment report as presented.
2. Do not accept the quarterly investment report as presented and direct staff to take action (if necessary) to correct any deficiencies in the performance measures with regards to the investment portfolio.
