Preview the City's new website to launch 12/15/2020.
Summary and Background
Earlier this year, InterMountain ESD (IMESD) gave notice that they would no longer be providing website hosting services effective 01/01/2021.
After consulting with IMESD, the City released an RFI and received three responses. After demos from those responders, Municode Web was selected to provide website hosting services and City staff began working on the design, implementation, information transfer and improving the overall website in the following ways:
- Mobile friendly design
- Google web translation
- Emergency banners and alerts
- Easy to use/find information
- Resource/Document Center with online fillable forms
- Social Media Integration
- *Parks & Recreation Department
- Google Map integration
- Easy to maintain for staff
- And more
Tie-In to Council Goals:
Goal 7: Provide City facilities that meet the current and future needs of the Hermiston community.
Although the website is not technically a "facility", it is, however, a site that the public visits frequently and therefore is important that it is up to date with relevant, transparent and easy to access information.
