An Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) for Government Affairs between Echo, Stanfield, Hermiston, Umatilla and Umatilla County.
Summary and Background
In an effort to work together for the improvement of West Umatilla County, the four cities and Umatilla County will enter into this IGA to more closely work together in seeking projects that strengthen the West County area.
Tie-In to Council Goals:
Goal 5: Foster community partnerships to address local and regional issues
Fiscal Information
No additional outlay from our original agreement with PacWest Communications. We will reduce the original contract by our contribution amount to these efforts.
Alternatives and Recommendation
Alternatives
Authorize the City Manager's signature on the IGA.
Direct staff to change IGA and return.
Defeat the IGA.
Recommendation
Authorize the City Manager to sign the IGA.
