The FAA has offered a grant of $99,000 to be used for preliminary engineering to repair the Apron area, as well as various background studies to allow non-aviation-related developments north of Airport Way.
Summary and Background
This project will do preliminary environmental analysis and preliminary engineering for a major rehabilitation of the Apron (parking) area at the airport in 2020-21. This project will also do necessary environmental and cultural resource analysis of approximately 12 acres of land located north of Airport Way to allow for continued development of the area for light-industrial and outlying commercial uses.
Tie-In to Council Goals:
Maintenance of existing city programs/facilities.
Fiscal Information
The total project shall not exceed $99,000. The City’s share shall not exceed 10%, or $9,900. City Staff will also apply for a State of Oregon COAR matching grant (90% of our match), which could bring the City’s share to as low as $990.
